I thought the material might be of use to others, so here it is! Merry Christmas! and Happy Caroling! LYRICS/CHORDS ![]() I created the videos as teaching aids for my students and we’re planning a carol sing & strum mid-December for which I created the lyric/chord charts. Be sure to check out our ukulele songs page for other Christmas carols and more great songs you can play on ukulele. You need only add a bit of interesting strumming/fingerpicking or some chord inversions to keep intermediate and advancing players interested. Here are the chords for Let It Snow on ukulele. Let It Snow Sammy Cahn/Jule Styne BPM: 100 Key: F F C7 F Oh the weather outside is frightful, F/A Abdim7 C7 But the fire is so delightful Gm D7 Gm Abdim7 And since we’ve no place to go C7 F Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow F C7 F It Doesn’t show signs of. Verse C C When we finally kiss good night, Dm7 G7 C How I'll hate going out in the storm C C But if you really hold me tight, D7 G7 C7 All the way home I'll be. None of the carols has more than 4 chords and a number have only 2, which makes them ideal for beginners. There is no strumming pattern for this song yet. Verse F C7 F It doesn't show signs of stopping, Abdim C7 And I brought some corn for popping Gm D7 Gm The lights are turned way down low, C7 F Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow. The order of the songs may seem random, but they are placed so that no two songs are in the same key in a row and the carols alternate between slow and fast-paced tunes. They were chosen firstly on their merit as great carols, secondly as fairly well-known songs of the season and thirdly to offer good variety in a set that makes sense for performing/caroling. These carols were selected and adapted from my two ukulele Christmas books, The Two Chord Christmas Songbook and Christmas on 34th Street.
